A Dinner To Remember: Buffalo's Best Restaurants Unite to Serve Hospice Patients and Families

 

Hospice patients and families will receive priceless memories when "A Dinner to Remember" begins on Tuesday, September 16, 2008.  "A Dinner to Remember" is a unique event led by Tom Lombardo of Lombardo Ristorante on Hertel Avenue.  Mr. Lombardo's family experience with Hospice Buffalo and his interest in giving back to the organization lead him to successfully recruit his fellow restauranteurs from Fiamma Steak, Tempo, Hutch's, The Falafel Bar, Salvatore's Italian Gardens, Ilio DiPaolo's Restaurant, The Eagle House, Oliver's Restaurant and Torches Restaurant to participate.  This compassionate program celebrates the generosity of Buffalo's restaurant community and Hospice Buffalo's commitment to enhancing quality end of life care.

 

Hospice is a way of caring for patients with end of life illnesses and supporting their family and loved ones through the illness and dying process.  Hospice addresses the physical, emotional, psychological and spiritual needs of the patient and the family.  The goal is to help patients live in comfort and dignity, surrounded by the warm and loving presence of loved ones.
